Ever dreamed of starting your own business? There are many similarities between entrepreneurship and project management.  This month we’ll learn how John Verrett took his knowledge of engineering and project management mixed with his love for fine spirits, to start his own distillery, Laisez Versez.

Join us February 18th as we take a unique look at project management through the eyes of a local brewer.  From ideation to production to marketing, John Verrett will share some of his experiences and lessons learned on his 6-year journey to starting his own distillery.  We’ll learn how the principals of project management apply not only to our jobs but our passions.  This presentation is sure to fill you cup (with knowledge) and lift your spirits!

This presentation will count as 1.5 PDUs for PMI credential holders.

John Verrett

John Verrett is a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager with 29 years of engineering and construction experience in the petro-chemical industry.  John is a proud LSU graduate, husband, and father.   In his free time John enjoys brewing beers for his friends and family.  Six years ago John decided to merge his home brewing experiences and passion into an ambition of business ownership, forming Laisez Versez, LLC (Let It Pour).  Laisez Versez, located on 14141 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, is a local Louisiana distillery specializing in Whiskey, Vodka, Everclear, and a plethora of flavorful liqueurs and elixirs.
