Join us October 15 as Dr. Andrew Schwarz discusses the challenges associated with project management from a change management perspective, highlighting the formula for leading change and individual reactions to the change process.  He will present his own work in this area, taking the perspective of the user to illustrate how effective project management techniques can overcome resistance and lead to better outcomes.  The presentation will conclude with the nexus of change and project management, discussing approaches that are dynamic and reflect the changing needs of the users in corporations today.

This presentation will count as 1.5 PDU's for PMI credential holders (.75 Leadership, .5 Strategic and .25 Technical).

Dr. Andrew Schwarz

Dr. Andrew Schwarz is a professor in the Stephenson Entrepreneurship and Information Systems Department in the E. J. Ourso College of Business Administration at Louisiana State University.  Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., Andrew completed his undergraduate degree at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, where he majored in social psychology and minored in sociology. Following completion of his bachelor's degree, Andrew worked in the market research industry for Fortune 500 firms, crafting research aimed at developing advertising campaigns for both new and established products and building models to forecast future trends in the consumer space. In 2003, Andrew graduated with a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston. Andrew has been recognized as a top business leader in Baton Rouge and honored with multiple teaching and service awards locally and across the globe.  He is currently is on the MBA faculty at LSU and is ranked in the top 1% of the globe in terms of research productivity in top tier academic journals.
